Terms of service

The service

Ahorio helps you capture, remember, detect, alert, and decide on household documents and purchases. There may be a demo mode (sample data on the device) and an account with email or OAuth.

Your account and content

You are responsible for what you upload. Do not upload other people’s documents without a right to process them, or illegal material.

You confirm each extraction before saving. If you skip review, you take the risk of wrong fields.

AI and automatic reading

Digitizing may use AI vision and OCR. They propose text and fields; they are not perfect. We do not invent figures on purpose, but a model can misread a ticket. Always review.

Plans

Today this version is offered as Ahorio Free. Paid features, if they come later, will be described before we charge.

Acceptable use

Do not attack the service, try to pull other households’ data, or abuse the reading API.

Voluntary cancellation and account deletion

You may stop using Ahorio at any time: simply do not come back and, if you wish, sign out in Profile.

You may delete the account voluntarily in Profile → Delete account. That erases the household and documents stored on this device, ends the session (email or Google, Apple, or Facebook), and returns you to the start. It cannot be undone from the app.

If you used a registered account, also email privacy@ahorio.com (subject: Ahorio account deletion) with the account email so we can delete records that may remain on servers, backups, or access logs. We will keep only what the law requires, for the minimum time.

Signing out is not the same as deleting the account: the session ends, but household data on this device stays until you delete it or reset the demo.

Suspension or closure by Ahorio

We may suspend or close access, immediately or after reasonable notice, if there is a serious breach of these terms, fraud, abuse of document reading, an attempt to access other households’ data, a security risk, a legal requirement, or harm to the service or to others.

When it is reasonable and does not increase the risk, we will notify the account email and, if the issue can be fixed, give a short time to fix it. We are not required to give notice in cases of fraud, repeated abuse, or a legal order.

Suspension may be temporary (until the facts are clear) or become a permanent closure. During a suspension you cannot capture or use household memory with that account.

Effects of termination

When the relationship ends — by voluntary deletion, by a suspension that becomes a closure, or because you stop using the service — the right to use Ahorio ends. There is no refund on a free plan.

After deletion, copies on this device are replaced by the app’s initial state. Processors (for example hosting or the vision provider) may retain residual data for their own deletion cycles.

Intellectual property, limitation of liability, governing law, and clauses that by nature should survive remain in effect as applicable.

Changes and law

We may update these terms. Continued use after the published date means acceptance, unless the law requires another consent.

Governing law: Ohio, United States, unless mandatory rules in your country protect you otherwise.
